1650's Carib's Leap got its name
when over 40 Caribs , cornered by the French, leapt to their
deaths rather than surrender.
In 1795, Julian fedon, a coloured
Grenadian, lead a rebellion against the British. Fedon's coffee
and cocoa plantation is situated in Belvedere. His camp
was ideal for his headquarters as it was chosen for its
inaccessibility.
